Targeted MR/Ultrasound Prostate Biopsy
Current methods of prostate cancer screening are somewhat unreliable, often leading to many uncertainties for both the patient and the urologist. Fortunately, a new, state-of-the-art technology called UroNav is offering a better solution: targeted biopsy.
Better Images, Better Results
When detected early, prostate cancer is one of the most curable cancers. UroNav technology makes it possible to better target the suspicious areas with precise images. Not only does this give doctors the opportunity to better identify and more accurately characterize prostate cancer when present, it gives patients the opportunity to get the best care for their prostate cancer without being overtreated.
Triad Radiology is proud to introduce this powerful new solution for targeted biopsy of the prostate. We are happy to answer any questions you have regarding this cutting edge option.

What is a targeted biopsy?
Targeted MR/ultrasound biopsy is poised to become a new standard in prostate care. This technique electronically fuses together pictures from magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound to create a detailed, three-dimensional view of the prostate, which physicians can then use to guide precision biopsies.
Traditional prostate biopsies are essentially a random, “blind” approach that can miss some harmful tumors. A targeted biopsy performed with UroNav, however, offers more clarity and precision, thus eliminating the need for multiple biopsy procedures. Additionally, it is better at detecting aggressive tumors that traditional biopsies may have missed.
Triad Radiology offers Targeted MR/ultrasound biopsies at a variety of locations, including hospitals, imaging centers, and clinics. Contact us if you want to learn more or schedule an appointment.
